How To Make A Good Financial Plan?
Planning is the key behind a robust financial future. When should one start this planning? As soon as they can, preferably right after college. But don’t fret if you weren’t wise enough to start that quickly. If you start today, you still have a chance at a brighter future, if you follow these 10 steps.
Come up with a plan or a goal for your future. Decide how much you want to save by a certain age or a certain year. You may even want to break this big goal into smaller goals. Decide how much you want to save by a certain age and then break down this figure by an equal amount you need to save each year to meet this goal. This gives you small goals to attain over a period of time.
Try your best to find a job you love. If you love your job, you are more likely to put in those extra hours that may be necessary to achieve bonuses, or overtime pay and thus reach your goal easier. Plus, if you love your job you are more likely to do well at it and then advancements will come easier for you.
Stay away from credit cards as much as you can. If you have credit cards, pay them off as soon as you can. Credit cards can eat you alive in interest rates. This is money you could use to put toward your future instead. Always pay more than the minimum when making a payment. Pay off the balance as soon as you can. On the same note, pay off loans as quickly as you can and do not take these out just because they may be easy to get. Learn to pay with cash. If you don’t have the cash, learn to wait until you do have it.
Limit your spending habits. Pay attention to prices before you buy. Watch for sales items. Keep a daily dairy of what you spend. Pay attention to those little things like that daily coffee at your favorite coffee shop. Over time, this daily habit could add up to a substantial amount that you could have been saving.
Don’t be afraid to take chances. Yet, take smart chances. If you are offered a job advancement, go for it. Don’t allow fear to stand in your way. Yet, be weary of get rich quick schemes. These usually just means you loose money.
Be willing to put in the extra time at work. Be willing to work over time when necessary. Be willing to work weekends, if necessary. This may mean you won’t have as much time for fun now. But you will be earning more money and helping your chances for future advancement.
Don’t be greedy when it comes to acts of charity. Remember it is good to help those in need. If you do good acts, you will be rewarded. Plus, it makes us feel good to help others.
Be honest. Remember it doesn’t pay to try to get ahead while cheating others. Consider the advantages of making a budget. Figure out your monthly and weekly expenses versus that amount of money you receive monthly or weekly. Don’t forget to factor in the amount you wish to save every week and month. Stick with the plan. Every few months, evaluate the budget again, hopefully marking off expenses you no longer have (such as credit cards you paid off or loans you paid off).
Financial planning is the key to financial success. Make your plans today for your financial future tomorrow.

Anyone Know A Good College For Photo/musical Theater?
i want to go to a college (in the US, preferably new york or florida) that i can major in photo and minor in musical theater. thing is, i’m afraid of singing in front of people. i have never sang in front of my friends unless it was to wicked, so i would act the singing (if that makes sense). i’m afraid my voice might sound horrible, but i’ve sang to myself and i don’t sound off key or anything but i’m not amazing either. anyways, before i ramble on, please tell me what school it is and if they have a website (a lot of schools don’t have websites or they’re hard to find).

I will also be participating in JROTC next year and any extra stuff they do. I have been holding a part time job for about 2 and a half years as well. Also, if it matters, I got top 10% in the ASVAB (he Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) Test. I already submitted my University of Florida application and wrote a pretty good essay that people told me was one of the more unique application essays for that particular prompt. I plan to do my FSU essay and send in that application this week and the USF next week. I know my SAT and ACT scores could be better, but I sent them to those schools and I plan on taking them again in October and sending them in again. Also, I will be applying for financial aid. Any opinions are welcome.

Realtors and Sellers – Remembrances of the Good Old Days!
Oh . . . for the good old days. You know, when gasoline was $2.00 a gallon, cokes were a dollar, interest rates were below 5%, and sticking a sign in the yard and waiting for offers to come in was enough to get your house sold! Hmmm . . . and it seems like only yesterday . . . !
Now market inventory is at an all time high, while prices and consumer confidence are going down. Agents and sellers have had to dust off some old traditional methods of marketing, as well as adopt new ways to capture maximum exposure for their properties. Coming up with innovative ways to “think outside of the box” to attract buyers has quickly become the ‘National Pastime’ for the Real Estate community.
The internet is a growing force in this endeavor as 85% of today’s tech savvy prospects now view the Real Estate market on line. Here they form their first, and arguably their most critical ” first impressions.” The increased reliance on the internet has also increased the importance of Home Staging, considered by many to be a must-have-marketing-tool for sellers in today’s slower market. Displaying multiple photographs of homes, beautifully staged and in show ready condition is key in determining which ones will actually be seen.
Home Staging, once considered to be an option by some, is now a widely used service which has swept the country due to it’s amazing results!
The following are some of the reasons why Home Staging statistically results in quicker, more profitable sales, and why top agents strongly recommend this service to their clients:
* Staged homes sell a lifestyle to ensure that the largest number of people will feel ‘home’
* Staged homes stand out and give you an advantage in a competitive market
* Staged homes advertise with compelling photos, and begin selling your home on the internet
* Staged homes are designed as a ‘product’ to be sold – depersonalized with the new buyer in mind
* Staged homes are decluttered so that the square footage of the home is visually maximised
* Staged homes are designed to accentuate the ‘positives’ while minimizing the ‘negatives’
* Staged homes are designed to sell faster and prevent the stress of endless showings
* Staged homes are designed to sell for top dollar
* Staged homes are designed with memory points and emotional connection points throughout
* Staged homes create multiple great ‘first impressions’ for exterior and interiors
* Staged homes reduce the need for costly price reductions
* Staged homes highlight the potential worth of any home, no matter what the price point
In what has become a buyers market, those looking to buy know they can take their time, be pickier and often negotiate prices down. Home Staging can help shift some of the power back to the seller by creating homes that look inviting . . . and are in greater demand!

Sound Good?
Chapter 1.
“Wake up sweetie were here”. Oh great. I unwillingly pried my eyes open as my mom bounced aroung like there was actually something to be excited about. “Im so happy Abigail, I just know your going to love it here”. I rolled my eyes and slowly straightened up in my seat. A million thoughts were running through my head when she said this. Why would I be happy about moving away from the sunny and beautiful Florida, to come to the small town of Abington, Pennsylvania? Why would you pick your job over your childs happiness? Why would I want to leave all of my friends? I groaned as I turned to look at the house I was doomed to live in, but when I saw the place it took me by surprise.
I had to admit it was stunning with the twisted, white victorian style columns and the gorgeous matching balcony. The cunning red brick made it look inviteing and the long row of hudge dusty windows that seemed to perfect, made it look mysterious. The one thing that really caught my eye was the aged gable that sat on the roof. In the middle of the structeure sat one lone dark window. It seemed like it should be placed on a castle rather than this acient abondoned house. It was rather fascinating. I liked it, I guess but I was not going to let my parents think that for one second. I would look like a fool after the fit I threw about moving to this boring, old town. But then again maybe I should give this place a chance, for my parents sake.
I sighed and opened the door of the now dusty silver Surburben and took my first breath of the sweet purfumed rural air. In Miami the air was thick and hot, that is one thing I definatly wont miss. On the otherhand there are many things I will miss like all my friends, and the beautiful shining sun. But the thing I will miss most of all is the ocean. I love the innocence and the peaceful feeling it offers to me every time I see those endless crashing waves. I adore the smell of the ocean breeze after a storm and the way the sand feels between my toes. Since my dad was offered a new job I will just have to accept I will not be able to feel the comfort it has once offered to me. Did they not think of me when they made this decision?
My dad followed my actions, stepped slowly out of the vehicle and seemed to take in the sweet aroma that lingered in the air. My mom was too thrilled about the house to notice the smell of the air. She skipped happily and was on the front porch before I knew it. She was looking through the big dirty windows, even though it was next to impossible to see inside. “Danny! Hurry up and come unlock the door I want to see Inside.” I smiled at that because she sounded like a small child anxious to open her gifts on Christmas morning. Even though I didnt want to be here, I was glad this made her happy. I missed seeing her inner child. “Comming honey.” At that he motioned me forward. I shoot a disapproving glance his way. Mother noticed this and said “Oh, don’t be so glum Abigail. ” Her smile faded as she said this and my heart sank with it. “Im sorry mom the house is great, Im just tired from the lond ride.” I replied with a hopefull voice. “Do you really think so?” Her spirit quickly rised and she was back to trying to see though the windows. “Yes it’s beautiful.”Was all I could think to say.
Dad eyed us and smiled as he unlocked the huge oak door. He turned the key. It was hard to believe but I was actually anxious to see what lied behind the dark door. The door made a quiet creaking noise as he slowly pushed it open. Dust clounds billowed in front of us. It seemed like we were the first ones to open this door in 100 years. To thier surprise I went in first. Coughing and sputtering I waved my hands around to clear the haze that the sun and dust created. A unfamiliar musty odor hit my nose and seemed to draw me in further. When the fog of dust finlly cleared I bedan to study my new home.
The inside of the house was as attractive as the outside. The first thing I saw through the haze was the hudge embellished staircase. The dark, meandering steps were breathtaking. At the top of the first flight stood a lonley door that I assumed led top the abmirable balcony I examined out front. This time I wasnt so surprised, but I was pleased. I decided to enjoy the few moments of silence, while my mom was in awe to study the large section of the house that was visible. We were standing in a extensive room with a exotic rug that covered most of the deep mahogany floor. It was weaved with earthly shapes of golden brown and a heavy firary red. I loved it. I hoped they would let it stay, It brings out the dark gold that covered the walls. On every wall of the room was a big doorway, each leading to a room decorated with old, elegant couches and a bleak oversided desk. Surrounding the doorways were extravagent paintings that portraied the vidrant colors of a warm summer day
I turned to exaine the east wall. Suddenly I was extermly puzzled. This wall had one solitary picture, that covered half the area. What really perplexed me was what the painting contained. It was absolutily mesmerixing but strange at the same time. It was dressed in rich, vivid shades of green and black. These colors were trown about somehow to form a deep dark forest that seemed to have never seen the sun but grew anyway. No people. No summer senery such as the rest. Hiding inside the deep green, twisted vines was one lonsome, shaded mirror. It was the weirest thing I ever saw. It seemed to throw off thew mood that the room offered. My attention was suddenly jerked away from the odd painting when I relized that dad was standing right behind me veiwing the canvas with the same look of wonderment I had I my eyes. “Sara come look at this”.
“What?”
“Odd isnt it?”
“Its horrid! When I decorate that will be the first thing to go.”
I gave her a disgused look. “What? Its depressing” I just stared at her. “Oh fine you can keep it if you want.” She smiled, leanded over and gave me a light kiss on the forehead. “Let’s go see upstaires” They both stared of toward the stairs. I stayed frozen in my place. “Are you coming Agigail?” My thoughts snaped back. “No you guys go ahead. Ill explore down here somemore.”
“Ok Aby. The moving vans will be here in about an hour. After we move everything in I will send you for some pizza. As she said this dad threw the keys to me and followed mom up the stairs. Halfway up he turned, smiled and winked at me. I smiled. I loved it that. We had our own little secrets that we could never tell mom or she would have a heartatach. They did not usually let me drive by my self even though im sixteen, but on occasions (when mom was gone) he would let me take the car out. I guess mom felt sorry for me today. I was not excited about the privlage as I ussualy would be because I was too extatic about exploring my new home.
I hesitantly took a step forward and looked a the mysterious painted canvas once again. I studied it as if it was glaring back at me, like it was more than just a painting. I quickly shook my head and felt stupid. Laughing out loud at myself and I slowly turned toward the first door to my right. Taking a deep breath I took a small step into the midsized room. It was painted in the same dark gold tone as the front room, and just as beautiful. But it lacked the beautiful rug and paintings. I could tell this was a mans office because it held the same huge, bleak desk as the room across from it. The room also had a liquor cabnet, which still held a few glass bottles. On the opposite wall was a large bench which was decorated in the same fashionas the rug. I thought about what mom and dad would do with this room.
While these thoughts ran through my head I turned around, faced the desk that sat in the center of the midsized room. I studied it thoughtfully and suspicislly walked toward it. With out thinking I ran my hands over the dusty surface. Underneith the thick layer of dust I found the true beauty of the ancient structure. The desk was harsh black, but also very smooth and gental. It held power as did the man who once sat at it, im sure. I slid my hands gracefully across the grossy surface, makeing a thin path in the dust. I eyed the oversized matching chair that sat behind it like an old friend. I placed my dusty fingertips on its back and slid away from its partner. I noticed at once how heavy it was. Removing my fingers from the seat, I moved from the back to the side and carfully slid in the small space between the desk and arm of the chair. Although the chair was much too big for me, I felt important and in charge. I new the truth of my life would soon creep back into my mind , but I felt like I had a grip of my life for those short moments.
Soon my eyes began to wander couriously. I began at the door and studied the room again carfully. When my eyes had a full veiw of what the room had to offer I looked down at the desk once again and something in the desk caught my eyes. Unopened drawers, which the desk held sucirly in place. Would it be wrong of me to just look for a quick second? I hesitated for a moment but ignored my thoughts and grabbed the cold wooden handle. Maybe it contains blue prints, money or maybe family airlooms. Why would it be locked if it had nothing to hide? I shook of the uneasy feeling. Its probaby nothing. Im making a big deal out of it. I inhailed the musty air and pulled on the drawer. It didnt budge. I pulled once more and still the same response. With each pull I heard a faint ratteling noise. This made me even more courious. I knew it was not empty. I quickly decided to search the others. I dropped my hands slowly to the drawer below the first. I pulled it with more force than the first and to my surprise it opened with one smooth, quick pull. I was very pleased with myself until I noticed that it was completely bare. I opened the remaining drawers with the same hope as the first, but each contained nothing.
I sat there for a moment to think abot what just happened. Why was only one drawer locked? Was there something in there that someone was trying to keep a secret? My questioning was inturupted when I saw my parents standing in the doorway staring at me. I had completly lost track of time.
“Hey”.
“What are you doing.” Mom said eyeing me suspicisly. “Nothing just looking around.”
“Ok. The movers are late and we are starving. Do you mind getting the pizzas now?” She said this with a cheerful voice. I let out a hevy sigh of releif. “Oh, and we found our room there are a few more you can choose from.”
“Thats fine. I will look when I get home.”
“Be back by eight.” my dad added this and I replied with a sarcastic “Sure”.
