With Hillary Still Favored To Beat Mccain, Do You Think Its The Republicans Trying To Get Obama Nominated?
General Election polls continue to demonstrate that Clinton is the far stronger candidate against McCain than Obama.
Real Clear Politics has data from 6 recent national General Election polls. In a Clinton v. McCain match-up, Clinton beats McCain in FIVE of the 6 polls. In an Obama v. McCain match-up, McCain beats Obama in 3 of the polls and ties him in one.
More importantly, in key battleground states, Clinton beats McCain in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida, while Obama loses to McCain in all 3 states. And RCP highlights a recent McClathy article about Obama’s likely loss in Indiana to McCain. A new Rasmussen poll for New Hampshire claims “Clinton gains on McCain…Obama heads in opposite direction.”
Obama’s problems with working class voters have worsened, according to a story posted yesterday by the AP:
In an Associated Press-Yahoo News poll…53 percent of whites who have not completed college viewed Obama unfavorably, up a dozen percentage points from November. During that period, the numbers viewing Clinton and Republican candidate John McCain negatively have stayed about even.
In contrast, Hillary Clinton’s strength among seniors, women, and key demographic groups such as Catholics improves with each election, as most recently seen in Pennsylvania.
*CLINTON, THE POPULIST*
Hillary Clinton is a candidate of the people, successfully delivering a populist message across American towns, cities, and suburbs. As the Washington Post said recently, “Clinton Is In Her Element:”

Point Blank Period.. the republicans want Hiliary to get nominated because they know she will lose and stand no chance… Obama at least has a chance which is why even the republicans aka Sean Hannity is doing everything in their power to bring Obama down but it ain’t working obviously… so its time to get a life here.

Since the Democratic field was narrowed to two, I think the Republicans have been hoping that Obama will win. He is a political unknown with too many secrets to hide. They are going to go after him like flies on s**t. Obama won’t know what hit him.

Fortunately polls don’t determine candidates. The popular and delegate votes are going to Obama so he gets the nomination, to this point.
personally I don’t like either of them so it matters not which one faces McCain

I don’t know where you are getting your information but the Republicans want Hillary to win the nomination because they think she will be much easier to beat than Obama.
Mike T on Thu, 26th Nov 2009 7:41 pm
I think McCain will do good against either, but it’ll probably be Obama.
Rooster3 on Thu, 26th Nov 2009 7:55 pm
Remember Operation Chaos? They wanted Hillary to take the nomination.

Polls can say anything you want them to say. All the polls are contradicting each other.

I am an independent, I am not supporter of Clinton or Obama. But being fair, It has nothing to do with Republicans. There are more half in the votes all across the country is trying to push Clinton off the cliffhanger- the ones ( blacks, college students and far lefts) want to see Obama as the nominee so badly. So, the same ones is trying to get Obama to be nominated in the democratic party. I don’t know who will win the general election, but the most important of all to remember that Hillary Clinton is allowed to stay in the race as long as she knows when to stop, while no one in the Republican Party complains about Ron Paul staying in the race all the way. Democrat party is just as disappointment as I see, nothing as real values in there.

You must remember that consevative Republicans consider McCain a liberal and see no difference in him and the Democrat candidates except his party affiliation. Conservative Republicans are either going to sit out the election or will vote for whatever Democrat candidate wins the nomination. McCains strength is not among the mainstream Republicans but among libreral Republicans and liberal and moderate Democrats. Conservative Republicans have a vitriolic hatred for him and can not vote for him, even holding their nose.
With the conservative Republican vote, this will push whoever is the Democratic candidate over the traditional 32-37 % Democrat voter minority and create a win for Democrats. It is Republicans that are voting for Hillary in the primaries just as it was Democrats voting for McCain made him the nominee.
Conservative Republican thinking is that whoever among the liberal candidates who gets elected, whether Republican or Democrat, the country will survive the four years essentially intact but greatly harmed. The voting populace will then vote overwhelmingly Republican to get rid of the liberal, socialist tyranny that the Democrat president and congress create and insure Republican majorities for decades.

This is what I think is going on. We all know business is corrupting our government. The government is installing Obama cause south Africa is starting to drill for huge oil deposits off the coast of Africa. That, combined with the Oil in Nigeria, is about to put Africa in a position to join OPEC.
America installs a black president, we send him over there to make deals and contracts with Africa, allowing american businesses to get a foot hold there and BAAM, no more oil problems. Get it. Did you really think that you controlled the government with your vote.
